Philosophy
Our business philosophy can be broken down into two statements. These mantras help govern the decisions we make, the relationship we have, and the jobs we do.
“We do not use people to build our company, we use our company to build people.”
At Eagle Mountain we believe businesses should create a healthy culture for good. Starting with our own employees and branching out to our Trade Partners, Clients, and the Communities at large Eagle Mountain strives to provide opportunity to grow and thrive in everything we do. We do not believe we have all the answers, but we do believe we can do our part every day to make people matter more than profits and communities more important than market share.
“We do not chase jobs, we chase clients.”
We do not surf job boards. We do not have job finding subscriptions. We are not scrutinizing the Daily Journal of Commerce. Eagle Mountain believes that lasting value comes from lasting relationships. Relationships are not built on “show up, do the job, see ya”. Relationships take time and patience and consistent performance and these things, in turn, build trust, long term value, and a spirit of true partnership.
Project Goals
Our goals are a reflection of our philosophies. You might say they are the tactical piece to the strategy of our philosophies.
01.
Value
Money matters. For most of us it is a finite resource that we use to gain the results necessary for our businesses to thrive. We strive to be the partner that understands your business needs and goals in order to present the best options for each construction project. Creating value serves as our compass for our decisions and actions. Value isn’t just spending money economically. Value is spending money wisely.
02.
Result
For some the result is the end of the project. For us the result is meeting our clients expectations. Our goal is to make the result exactly what you want by blending aesthetics and modern functionality. Ultimately you are the one who uses the space, and we want you to love it.
03.
Community
We believe every persons’ profession is their contribution to the community as a whole. We also believe that people should relate to the space in which they work, play, or simply exist positively and with pride. At Eagle Mountain what we do every day is our contribution to the community at large and we want that contribution to be overwhelmingly positive.
04.
People
People are why we do what we do. Projects are more than buildings. They are opportunities to learn and grow not only as individuals, but together as a team. Understanding each individual has specific strengths, allows us to position people in a place that allows them to thrive.
“Creative adaptability and attention to detail are the foundation of what we do.”
History
Eagle Mountain Construction is a family owned business. The company was founded by the owner and president Steve Rzonca, with Tami Rzonca, Steve’s wife, being co-owner and secretary of the corporation. Robert Livingston, Steve’s step-son, is Vice-President and runs the day to day operations.
Eagle Mountain Construction has been in business since December 20, 1978 as an incorporated entity and is now into its 5th decade of business. Steve began his career working for a large commercial construction company in southern California before relocating to Bend and starting Eagle Mountain Construction. The company got its start in the residential construction industry, but in the mid 1980’s began to branch out into commercial construction. Through his experience and relationships with clients, commercial work quickly became predominate for the company.
Eagle Mountain Construction has vast experience in commercial construction and we are licensed by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board as a Level 1 Commercial Contractor.
We have concentrated on developing our commercial clientele over the last 3 decades. Eagle Mountain Construction has built relationships with clients that have lasted more than 20 years.
